report on the report
We went last night to get the report. The drive was no problem--roads were clear & mostly dry. The only issue was turning into the place getting into the parking lot. We were a bit stuck. I managed to get the minivan of doom up the hill, but it was a near thing, as none of it had been plowed. I parked in the middle of the uncleared lot. I did swing the van around to face the driveway. I'd much rather the van be pushed front-end first into traffic than from the other direction. (Not that such a thing happened, but "be prepared.")
It came as no shock to learn that my son has tested out to be hyperactive with short attention. It also turns out that FirstBorn has developed some anxiety issues. What might have started as hyperactivity & learning disorders has blossomed. So now we need to find someone who can give him coping skills in addition to medication. Bleh.
Maybe we can get a family discount. After all, this ADHD thing is genetic, and I don't think he got it from his dad. Neither does anyone else who knows me....
Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the return of NMH so that I can scamper off to that geekfest I tried to go to last year. This year, I stay with the Protege; I might get her to come with me. We shall see.
