drama drama everywhere
I finally got the lecture I was expecting on girlfriend loyalty from Sandy's oldest friend, Sophia. I don't know if she was spoiling for a fight or just getting her feelings off her chest. I am not spoiling for a fight. I did, however, spend about two hours of my life explaining why things went down the way they did, what things were unavoidable and how her presence might have prevented unpleasant situations.

I don't think she's going to take that well. Given that she declared in her blog that she was hormonally irritated at the world. I don't necessarily care. Had she given me her real reason for declining the invitation to Haven--"I forsee draaammmaaa"--I would have happily told her why she *needed* to come. But she pleaded house repairs. Can't argue with that--not as a homeowner myself, especially a homeowner with water damage experience. sigh.

I'm not short-sighted. I saw potential for drama the MOMENT Sophia chose not to come. Odd numbers are *never* good at a social gathering. Look at the Last Supper! Five can be an especially awkward number.... I won't deny I had a sizeable (major, best supporting actress) role in the debacle, but it was a team effort. Sophia, like it or not, was on the team, too.

At this point, I feel I should insert a "How many **** does it take to ..." joke, but I can't think of one. Anyone? Anyone? Bueler? Bueler?
